I could bake, bake, and more baking!

Setelah pulang kerja kemarin, Ai Tjen ngajakin aku bikin something di dapur lagi. Last week was the delicious home made pizza.... And yesterday.... bikin roti~~~~~~~~~ nyam!

Lain dengan minggu lalu yang aku ikut mengayak tepung, dll... Kemarin aku benar2 seperti bermain. I was just shape, fill, re-shape, and then put it on the tray... I don't even put it in the oven on my own, Tante Tjen did all the other things by herself!
Oh, btw, i did 1 more thing... I did grate the kraft cheddar and mix it with 3,5 tea spoonful of condensed milk.... :D

Filling rotinya bermacam-macam. Ada keju, keju susu, pisang, pisang keju, pisang keju susu, ham, ham keju, sosis, sosis keju, salami, salami keju, dan ada 1 khusus punyaku yg isinya ham+keju susu. Aneh y? keju susu kok dicampur ham... Biarin, yg penting ane doyan. Tapi kok sekarang ga bisa nemu tuh roti dimana y... Jangan2 udah dimakan ma yg laen? o.O

Ini beberapa roti yg aku bentuk sendiri sebelum di-glaze... Punyaku ukurannya mini.. *unyil*
Memang sengaja aku hanya memakai 20 s/d 30gr saja.

soal rasa jangan ditanya... Uenak pol! Maknyuuuuuus dah...
Resepnya pake resep kuno, susunya... susu sapi murni, dan tanpa bahan pengawet. Rotinya coklat keemasan karena di-glaze dengan kuning telur.

Thanks, tante.....
Next time aku diajakin bikin2 yg lain y.. :)

Duo Piano Concert - The Rotary Club of Shanghai's 90th Anniversary Gala

Last night I went to Rotary Club of Shanghai 90th Anniversary Gala Dinner. It's not just another birthday party. It was a duo piano concert and gala dinner opened by a champagne reception and sparkled with raffle tickets and silent auction for fund raising. In the middle of the event was a Rotary Club of Shanghai history movie clip. The movie clip was more than great. I love that clip. It's not just another boring clip. I can't describe it by words. One should see by him/herself.

The event held in Ballroom A, 10th Floor at the Renaissance Hotel Zhongshan Park. The reception started on 6:30pm. Champagne, orange juice, cola, and canapes are everywhere. The admission fee for this event is 800RMB per person (but, once again, I joined for free as the Shanghai RC gave some free tickets for Rotaractors and Interactors). Renaissance Hotel itself (I believe) is part of the Marriott Hotel Group.

The duo piano concert was so nice. The music was alluring. I love those songs, especially the one I familiar with like Jambalaya, Over The Rainbow, Theme and Variations, and some other musics.
Here is the music list.

Last but not least, the foods. The foods were so delicious. The salmon was melting inside my mouth, the soup was very tasty, moreover, the beef was cooked perfectly; juicy and very tender. The dessert (ivory blanc satin chocolate mousse griottines cherry) was kind of heavy for me. I prefer something other light and refreshing after that kind of dinner. It'd taste better if I wasn't that full, and the griottines cherries tasted like medicine pills (it's too bitter for me, well, maybe the liquor is too strong).
Here the picture of the menu, followed by the foods picture.

Last but not least.. Shum's creation... :D She took the picture with her Nikon D50, and me? only using a pocket camera. lol

Such an unforgettable night...
Wish the recital was longer...

Ouch!

As time goes by.. i got so many ouch-es.. >.>

Ouch #1
i've been told that su fa class is started and if i wanna join i need to come and see the place, teachers, etc; last night.
turned out that the class is started next week.
i've bought 2 meals, and it makes me wanna throw up...
and.... i canceled my dinner appointment w/ my roommate *sob*

Ouch #2
stomachache! like... it's never end... T.T
hope i regain my strength and win the battle 2mrw... lol

Ouch #3
last night i watched "Mighty Duck" @ ICS. The best part is I still speak American! lol
the annoying part is I realized that I need to (MUST) learn the hanzi.. looooool.
and....... the surprising part is the ICS (it's like the only channel that use English as its main language), as if most foreigners -esp. the english speaking one- will likely to see this channel, doesn't provide the movie credit.... It's like they have been cut it off or something like that... geez... i wanna see the movie credit... >.<

Ouch #4
I ate @ the canteen for lunch 2day w/ bunch of Indonesian students... after, 1 of it told me that I wrote the wrong hanzi. well.. kinda hurt.. but it's a good thing that she told me. After, i have to study harder. =)

Ouch #5
I know that my way of thinking (abt life, lifestyle, etc) is different w/ those majority ppl. I appreciate what they have in mind. I know I just a minority here (as I don't like to be the same as others and I like to be outstanding.. lol), and you ppl, pls don't tell me what to do.
If it's abt religion then usually i become more sensitive. Like.. for me, worshiping God does not necessarily have to be in the church (or mosque, or temple, etc).
in this case, because I'm a Catholic, I'll write it in my way.. :D
Well, I totally understand if they say they have to go to the church because of Jesus' salvation, and bla3... >.<
but that doesn't mean I have to go..... In my not so humble opinion, I could worship god in everytime, everywhere, to everyone. Doing the best things in everything (somehow sometimes i forgot to do the best for myself as i don't take care of myself carefully), lend a hand to others, being carefree and nice to people surrounds me, make the worlds a better place.. are things that I could do to share the best values i got from God. I'm lucky... very lucky. Sharing my luckiness to the world doesn't mean it'd drain. In fact, the world is giving back to me double, triple, even uncountable! The world have infinity energy that could be shared to us. It's our decision to take or refuse it. Me, myself, definitely won't waste it. I'll grab it! ^^
So, for me, i don't think go to the church is a must... I could allocate the time for others. As i believe God will be more than happy to see me doing a good deeds to others and make a great positive impacts toward the world, rather than if I go to church everyday and worship Him there, but do nothing toward others.
i love to contribute what I could give toward the society. A better world, a better place, a better understanding... hope it'll come true. =)

the aw moment of the day:
it's sunny today... :D

have a great weekend!!

xoxo,
